How Much Does It Cost?

Honestly, this is the most frustrating part of Marketing Boost for me. Here's why...

When Marketing Boost first started, they're full-featured plan was just $37 a month. And if you wanted to save a little, you could purchase an annual plan. At that time, they only offered the vacation stays...no dining incentives or travel gift cards. And they also offered an unlimited 7-day free trial.

Then, when the gift cards were added in late 2018, they bumped the price to $49 a month, still offered a substantial discount if you upgraded to an annual plan and offered an unlimited 14-day free trial.

Then they did away with the free trial because too many people were taking advantage of them by continually registering new accounts to stay within the trial period.

Value Bomb

Luckily, Marketing Boost offers members grandfathered pricing, so those of us that have been in a long time haven't seen our monthly/annual price go up...the changing prices only affected people that joined after the change.

Then they took away the monthly pricing...your only options were pay an annual fee or to break the annual fee into 3 monthly payments.

Both of those changes were an effort to reduce the number of people taking advantage of the company and provide a more stable financial future...and they were successful in doing just that.

Then, in December 2019, they massively raised prices, added multiple tiers you can buy in at, began offering a limited 7-day trial and brought back monthly payments.

The massive growth they were experiencing has slowed some, but now we're seeing many more serious businessmen and women using the service instead of people trying to game the system.

WATCH OUT for the Fine Print!

The most commonly asked question I get is, "What's the catch?"

It's completely understandable...if you're going to use Marketing Boost incentives to grow your business, you want to make sure you're compliant and can explain them fully.

The best thing to do is review the Marketing Boost FAQ page, but here are answers to a few if the most commonly-asked questions I get.

1. Do my customers have to go to a timeshare presentation in order to take advantage of your vacation incentives?


No, your customers will never be required to attend any sales or timeshare presentation.

These are real, top quality resorts with no hidden fees or strings attached. Marketing Boost's partner company, BookVIP, owns and operates several high volume travel companies and they are simply filling otherwise empty rooms so the hotels and resorts can turn them into additional revenue as these consumers spend money on the property for things like room service, spa treatments, in-house restaurants, bar purchases, casino and extra day stays, etc.

When your customers redeem their vacation, Marketing Boost will offer them additional incentives and upgrades, which they can choose to accept or decline. These additional incentives will save your customer from $500 to $1500 and will require a timeshare presentation if they want to avail themselves of them.

Your client, however, will NEVER be required to upgrade...they are just offered it and are not pressured to say yes.

2. Are there any additional costs for my clients?

Recipients of these incentives will receive a luxury hotel room free of charge. This is a retail value of up to $250 per night in the US and up to $350 per night at many of the international destinations.

The recipient is responsible for all other expenses including, but not limited to, airfare, transfers, food & beverages, gratuities, resort fees if applicable, and any other personal or miscellaneous expenses.


Resort fees are commonplace in the travel industry and your client will have to pay them out of pocket.

As a matter of fact, over 96% of tourists traveling to Orlando or Las Vegas now have to pay a resort fee when they check-in at the resort. This is so common that it is expected by any seasoned traveler.


When you award someone a complimentary vacation through Marketing Boost, you are giving them a vacation that is valued at up to $750 in Orlando or Las Vegas and up to $1,750 internationally depending on where and when they travel. Now with over 50 destinations, the value is incredible!

Here are examples of resort fees for properties in the Marketing Boost/BookVIP system:

Las Vegas: from $16.00 to $38.00 per night

Orlando: from $5.00 to $12.00 per night

Gatlinburg/Branson/Williamsburg: from zero to $12.00 per night

Daytona Beach: from $15 to $20 per night

Myrtle Beach, SC: from $5 to $15

Mexico hotels: from $10.00 to $14.00 per night

The above are just examples of resort fees. 

With over 50 destinations, I will not list them all here. However, if there is a resort fee it will be disclosed when your client chooses their travel dates and property. 

Resort fees cover items like WiFi Internet Access, Local Calls, Resort Amenities, Fitness Centers, In-room Safes, Beach Chairs, Umbrellas, Beach/pool towels, activities and more. 

3. What are the taxes and fees, and what are they based on for the travel incentives.​​​​


In addition to the resort fees, travellers will have to pay applicable taxes as well. The taxes and fees are based on a few factors including (but not limited to) local tourism and bed taxes, value-added tax, sales tax based on the full rack rate of the accommodations, maid service fees, zone surcharges, travel agency fees, federal, state, local, or municipal taxes, etc.  Most average about $20 US per night.

Company History

The company now known as Marketing Boost started offering vacation incentives to the general public around the start of 2018 under the name Advertising Bait.

After they started gaining a lot of popularity and got tens of thousands of members, they got a ton of feedback that members felt having the word 'bait' in the name gave a negative connotation.

So - in late 2018 - they changed the name to Advertising Boost.

And as they added more products (dining incentives and travel gift cards in addition to the vacation stays) and even more members, they've decided the name Marketing Boost better reflects the company's direction and competitive advantage.

That's why you have probably seen all these different names for the same company.

What I Like About Marketing Boost

Ok, so now you know what Marketing Boost is, how it works, why it works and what some of the limitations are, here's my personal opinion about it.

First of all, I like how quickly and massively the incentives have built businesses around the world in all kinds of industries.

Second, I like the fact that Andy Small and the Marketing Boost team keep improving the product, it's delivery system and the number of destinations you can offer vacation stays at. There are over 50 destinations available now with more coming online all the time.

Third, not only do they give you the incentives to use, they give you the top-notch training on how to use it. As a matter of fact, they used to offer a $35,000 mastermind where they taught these tactics. They no longer offer that, but you can get the same training for free once you join.

Lastly, I LOVE the fact that we can take a free vacation for ourselves (and our family) every year. You can go to any destination Marketing Boost offers!

What I Don't Like About Marketing Boost

So that's the good stuff...now here's the bad stuff...

As an affiliate of Marketing Boost, the name changes and price changes have driven me crazy. It's hard to get in a sales groove when I have to keep going back and changing stuff.


But that's the way things are when you're part of a company that has experienced massive growth and strives to continuously improve their product and services.


What surprised me most when I started using the incentives was how hard they are to use properly. I tried giving away vacations for a simple email sign up and ran Facebook ads trying to give away vacations and neither worked.


But, through the training webinars and in the back office, I've learned that there needs to be a value match to be successful. What does that mean? It means that if I try to give someone a vacation stay worth $750 when all I'm asking them to do is sign up to an email list, it sets off their, "too good to be true" sensor.


To be effective, you need to match the value with what you're asking them to do. After much testing, I've also found that if you give away stays at destinations close to your customers' location, you'll do much better than if you try to entice them with destinations far away from them.


It's simple economics, really...to qualify for the stays, they have to live at least 150 miles from the destination, but they should be able to drive there instead or having to fly.

The Final Analysis

If you need to grow your leads, sales and referrals, Marketing Boost can be a powerful ally...if you use it correctly.

If you need to sell more and drive your competition into the ground without discounting your prices, Marketing Boost can be your secret weapon...if you use it correctly.

If you want to make your ads more effective and put your word-of-mouth campaigns on steroids without breaking the bank, Marketing Boost can do that effortlessly...if you use it correctly.

So, as you can see...the trick is learning how to use them properly!
